Troubleshooting

The following information is also found on our printable troubleshooting card.

LCD Screen Should Look Like This:

Problem Probable Cause Problem Solution
Light is flashing, screen reads "DEFROST" Unit is in DEFROST mode according to Defrost Schedule Wait about 20 minutes for product to thaw, plus 20-30 minuts to re-freeze. Product can be served after lights stop flashing.
Light is flashing, screen reads "REST" Unit is in REST mode, according to Rest Schedule Wait for unit to automatically start at scheduled time, or press AUTO button on both sides.
Screen reads "OUT" next to the word "SYRUP" Unit is OUT OF SYRUP Replace syrup. Be sure connector is properly affixed. Press PRIME button. Wait for screen to read "OK." If screen doesn't change to "OK," draw product from barrel to purge air bubble. Check that C02 gauges read 60# and 90#. Press AUTO button after screen reads "OK."
Screen reads "OUT" next to the word CO2 Unit is OUT OF C02 Close empty C02 tank. Replace with full tank. Turn full tank on.
Screen reads "OUT" next to the word WATER WATER supply is OFF
WATER line is CRIMPED
WATER FILTER is clogged
Turn water supply on, or remove crimp from water line, or change your water filter.
Screen reads "FAULT" Unit is OVERLOADED or MALFUNCTIONING Press the MENU button. Use arrow buttons to select MENU B. Press MENU again. Press OFF buttion to clear fault. If screen does not clear, note the FAULT description and call Liquid Ice for service (508) 393-4499.
Screen reads "BEATER" Unit is in BEATER mode Press the AUTO button on the side that reads BEATER.
Screen is BLANK Unit is UNPLUGGED
POWER SWITCH is OFF
BREAKER is TRIPPED
Check plug, power switch, and breaker
Center drip tray is OVERFLOWING Hopper PRESSURE is TOO HIGH
WORN O-RING SEAL
To stop leak turn dispenser off and/or disconnect syrup, water, and C02. For slow leaks, schedule tune-up with Liquid Ice (508) 393-4499.
Belt thumping and/or loud squealing Product is too thick because "syrup out" or "CO2 out" alarm was ignored and product doesn't have enough syrup in it Press the BEATER button, drain product and discard. Press the PRIME button, raise the white prime plug on the freezer door to refill. Lower prime plug. Press AUTO button.
