About Us

Liquid Ice provides beverage syrups, cups, lids, straws, dispensing equipment, and repair services for nearly 600 foodservice and retail locations throughout the Northeast United States. Liquid Ice offers fixed fee, and pay-as-you-go equipment and service programs for soda fountains, icemakers, frozen carbonated beverage equipment and frozen uncarbonated beverage equipment.

Company History

Jodi and Al Del Re

1998: Liquid Ice was founded in by former Coca-Cola executive, Al Del Re. He started the business by purchasing a new FCB machine and installing it at a customer location in Faneuil Hall in Boston, MA. The customer agreed to take the machine for free, but be required to purchase FCB syrup, cups, lids, and straws from Liquid Ice.

Jodi Del Re, a marketing professional, and Al's wife, volunteered to do the bookkeeping. The couple cleared out the family garage to store parts and supplies. They bought a $1,500 Jeep Cherokee SUV at a used car lot so they could make deliveries on nights and weekends.

1999: By the end of its first year, Liquid Ice recruited a total of 9 customers, selling Frozen Coca-Cola Classic, and Frozen Minute Maid Cherry.

2000: Liquid Ice placed a total of 53 machines in service, in MA and NH.

2001: Liquid Ice adds Blue Raspberry Frost to its flavor line-up. Soon, Blue Raspberry Frost becomes the company's best seller.

2002: The Jeep is replaced with a 2001 Ford E350 cargo van, complete with company logo.

2003: A full time employee joins the founders. Operations expand into RI and CT.

2004: Liquid Ice adds an in-house parts and service function to maintain company owned equipment, and to control service expenses.

2005: Liquid Ice launches a frozen un-carbonated equipment and product line. Soon after, Liquid Ice celebrates the sale of its 12 millionth serving, and 300th installation.

2006: Liquid Ice begins offering repair services for soda fountains, icemakers, and frozen beverage dispensers, gaining factory authorization from leading beverage equipment manufacturers.

2007: Liquid Ice executes a service contract for Cumberland Farms convenience store chain, becoming the exclusive beverage service provider for 360 of their locations throughout New England.

TODAY: Liquid enjoys a reputation as a leading provider of beverage equipment, equipment repair services, and frozen beverage supplies in 7 Northeast States. The Liquid Ice team includes 15 full-time employees.
